Has now became my treasure. I found this plant a few weeks ago next to a dumpster. OK. It was actually in the dumpster neatly placed on top of a box. All I had to do was reach right in and grab it. I bet whoever set it there was secretly hoping someone would take it home. And take it home I did! It’s added some much-needed color to my front porch.
Last year, I tried to grow basil and not so much as a sprout popped (sprouted?) up. This year, I’m proud to say that I actually grew basil.
I bought this little pot at Target, from their dollar bins. It came with a peat pellet, the pot, and some seeds to get started. It was definitely worth the dollar I spent.
These Garlic Mustard weeds, were starting to take over a small area of my yard. I mowed them down and, instead of smelling freshly cut grass, it smelled like freshly chopped garlic.
I spotted this dried plant on one of my walks. It was sticking out from the rest, just begging to be photographed. So, I obliged.
Do you see those tiny things (leaves? seed pods?) sticking up? Doesn’t it look like they’re racing to see who can make it to the top?
